Ingredients:

  • all purpose flour – 1 cup
  • salt – to taste
  • ajwain – 1/2 tsp
  • oil – 1 tbsp + as needed for deep frying
  • water – to make the dough
  • water – to make the dough

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, salt, ajwain and oil. Using water form a stiff dough. Allow to rest for half an hour.
  2. Roll the dough into circle and cut into small circles using a cup or biscuit cutter. Prick with a fork to prevent the circles from puffing up during deep frying.
  3. Deep fry the small circles until they are golden brown. Allow to cool and store in air tight containers.
