- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry mixture and stir until well combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) and stir again.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the granola bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then use the parchment paper to lift them out and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
