A Perfect Appetizer for any Occasion
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from the heat and let cool.
- Stir in the feta cheese and dill, and season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. Cut it into 12 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each square.
- Brush the beaten egg on the edges of each square, then fold and seal the pastry into a triangle shape.
- Place the puff triangles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the remaining egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
