Ingredients:
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. sriracha sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
- Cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oil to 375°F in a deep frying pan or deep fat fryer.
- In a shallow dish, mix together flour, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, beat eggs.
- Dip each shrimp in the egg mixture, then coat in flour mixture.
- Drop shrimp into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove shrimp from oil using a slotted spoon or spider and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Meanwhile, make the spicy garlic sauce by combining mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and lime juice in a small bowl.
- Arrange shrimp on a platter and serve with spicy garlic sauce on the side.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro, if desired.
