Quick and Easy Turkey Panini Recipe

Don’t have a panini press? No problem! You can make this recipe using just a regular frying pan or grill pan and a heavy lid or weight to press down on the sandwich.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 2 slices of turkey breast
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Recipe:

  1. Mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey in a small bowl until well combined. Spread this mixture on one slice of the bread.
  2. Place one slice of turkey breast on top of the spread, followed by the slice of cheddar cheese.
  3. Place the other slice of turkey breast on top of the cheese, and then top with the other slice of bread.
  4. Brush one side of the sandwich with olive oil.
  5. Heat a frying pan or grill pan over medium-high heat. When hot, place the sandwich, oiled side down, in the pan.
  6. Brush the other side of the sandwich with olive oil. Use a heavy lid or weight to press down on the sandwich.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the pan, let cool for a few minutes, and then slice in half and serve.
