Quick and Delicious: 5-Minute Granola Bars Recipe

Granola bars are a great snack option for a quick burst of energy. However, many store-bought granola bars contain high levels of sugar and preservatives. With this recipe, you can make your own granola bars in just 5 minutes with all-natural ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of nut butter (such as peanut butter or almond butter)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup of dried fruit (such as raisins, cranberries or apricots)
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, chopped nuts and dried fruit.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, mix together the honey, nut butter, vanilla extract and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Dump the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly with a spatula or your hands.
  6. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before cutting it into bars or squares.

Granola Bars

These bars are perfect for breakfast on the go or as a mid-day snack. They will keep well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
