Just follow the step-by-step instructions below and impress your guests with this delightful dish.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz. crab meat, drained and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sweet and sour sauce for dipping

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ground ginger, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Spoon a teaspoon of the mixture onto the center of each wonton wrapper. Dip your finger into a bowl of water and moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper.
  3. Bring the edges of the wrapper together to form a triangle or a boat-like shape. Press the edges together firmly to seal the filling inside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat until hot (about 375°F).
  5. Carefully drop the wontons into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wontons from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
