Crispy and Savory: Try This Delicious Homemade Potato Chip Recipe
Ingredients
- 4-5 large potatoes, sliced thinly
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
1. Rinse and slice the potatoes with a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
2. Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
3. While the oil is heating up, mix together the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a small bowl.
4. Once the oil is hot, add the potatoes to the pot in small batches and fry until golden and crispy. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes per batch.
5. Remove the chips from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
6. While the chips are still hot, sprinkle the spice mixture over them and toss to coat evenly.
7. Transfer the chips to a serving bowl or plate and enjoy!
