Chicken Alfredo
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add butter to the same skillet and melt. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream to the skillet. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes until it starts to thicken.
- Add Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet and stir until coated in the sauce. Let cook for another 1-2 minutes to warm everything through.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
