Easy One-Pan Lemon Garlic Chicken and Asparagus Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
- 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
3. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and place it in the skillet. Sear until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
5. Reduce the heat to medium, and add the butter to the skillet to melt.
6. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
7. Add the asparagus to the skillet, and stir until it is coated with the lemon butter sauce.
8. Place the chicken on top of the asparagus, and spoon some of the lemon butter sauce over the chicken.
9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven, and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the asparagus is tender.
10. Remove the skillet from the oven, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Note:
You can also garnish the dish with some fresh herbs or extra lemon zest for added flavor.
