Easy One-Pan Lemon Garlic Chicken and Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, ​boneless and skinless
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ‌of lemon ⁣juice
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  • 1 bunch of asparagus,⁤ trimmed
  • Salt ⁢and⁣ pepper, to taste

Chicken and⁤ asparagus

Instructions:

1. Preheat‌ the oven to 400°F.

2. In‌ a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

3. Season the chicken ⁣with salt and pepper, and ‍place it in the skillet. Sear until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.

4. Remove the ⁤chicken from the ​skillet and set it aside.

5. Reduce the heat ⁣to medium, and add ⁣the butter to the skillet to‍ melt.

6. Once the butter is melted, add the minced‍ garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

7. Add the ⁢asparagus to​ the skillet, and stir until ‌it is coated with the lemon ‍butter sauce.

8. Place the chicken on top⁤ of the asparagus, and spoon some of the lemon butter sauce over the chicken.

9. Transfer the skillet ⁤to the preheated oven, and ⁣bake for⁤ 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is ‍cooked through and the asparagus is tender.

10. Remove the skillet from the oven, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Note:

You can‍ also garnish ​the dish with some fresh herbs or extra lemon zest for added ⁣flavor.
