Quick and Delicious: 5-Minute Granola Bars Recipe
Granola bars are a great snack option for a quick burst of energy. However, many store-bought granola bars contain high levels of sugar and preservatives. With this recipe, you can make your own granola bars in just 5 minutes with all-natural ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup of nut butter (such as peanut butter or almond butter)
- 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts or pecans)
- 1/4 cup of dried fruit (such as raisins, cranberries or apricots)
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, chopped nuts and dried fruit.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, mix together the honey, nut butter, vanilla extract and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir until well combined.
- Dump the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly with a spatula or your hands.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before cutting it into bars or squares.
These bars are perfect for breakfast on the go or as a mid-day snack. They will keep well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
