Chicken Tikka Skewer Recipe

Spice Up Your Appetite with this Exciting Chicken Tikka Skewer Recipe

Serve with basmati rice and cucumber raita for a delicious Indian meal.

Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12-15 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, paprika, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.

2. Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the marinade.

3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.

4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

5. Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.

6. Serve hot with basmati rice and cucumber raita.


Cucumber Raita Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, cucumber, mint, cilantro, cumin, and salt. Mix well.

2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
