Super Easy Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Sticks. They take less than 15 minutes to make and are so much better than store-bought! Caramelized on the outside and fluffy on the inside!

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Texas toast, day old, sliced into strips (I got 4 strips from each piece of toast)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Add eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
  2. In another medium bowl combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon. Stir to combine. Set aside.
  3. Heat skillet or griddle and spray with nonstick spray or coat with butter.
  4. Dip bread into the egg mixture and allow any excess to drip off. Add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. (I like the outside to get crispy and caramelized)
  5. Immediately after cooking add the french toast sticks to the cinnamon and sugar mixture and toss to coat.
  6. Serve immediately with maple syrup.
