Easy and Delicious Garlic Roasted Chicken

Garlic roasted chicken


  • 1 whole chicken, about 4 lbs
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Lemon wedges and parsley for serving


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, olive oil, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rinse the chicken under cold water, pat dry with paper towels, and place it breast side up in a roasting pan.
  4. Rub the garlic and herb mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin as well.
  5. Roast the chicken in the oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges and parsley.
